This year's synod assembly was held May 21-22 at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. We met in conjunction with the East Central Synod of Wisconsin to worship, laugh, pray, work, discover, share and to be the church together.

The following pastors are celebrating ordination anniversaries: Rev. Jeffrey Tarras, Rev. Dean Simpson, Rev. Barbara Koch, Rev. Loren Barker, Rev. Michael Briggs and Rev. Alice Hamm (25 years); Rev. Robert Esse, Rev. Richard Kelling and Rev. James Homme (50 years).

Assembly Choir

Thank you to those who joined the assembly choir led by Robbie Joern, First Lutheran, Eau Claire. Your beautiful music was a welcome addition to the assembly.

Offering

Funds from this year's quarter collection will be distributed as follows: one-third to ELCA World Hunger and two-thirds to our companion synod in Malawi, Africa, for food sustainability efforts.

This year's assembly offering will be shared among the Synod Resource Center, the Malawi Pastors' Academy and the Lutheran Malaria Initiative. Thank you for your generous support of these three important ministries.
